Retro Studios, which is currently working on Metroid Prime 4, has just hired a brand new artistic director in the person of Jhony Ljugstedt, a former DICE employee. After having worked on Battlefield 5, Medal of Honor 2010 and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the Swede will therefore take care of the famous Nintendo license whose fans eagerly await the return. The new employee will join other renowned developers who have recently joined the ranks of the Austin studio, including lead character Artist Kyle Helfey (Halo), or Stephen Dupree (lead designer on Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze).
Remember that the game experienced a chaotic development at Bandai Namco Singapore, before everything was started from scratch in January 2019 when Nintendo decided to entrust the project to Retro Studios.
